The house, known as Sesame Lodge, served as a guest house for overflow from the nearby Hampton Terrace Hotel, which was a popular resort destination in the early 1900s. Unfortunately, a fire damaged the interior of Sesame Lodge during the Walls' occupancy, but the house was repaired with modern updates that did not reflect its original 1902 construction.
