"We brought our dog in because she was having some sort of really bad reaction to something she must have eaten. The vet tech was super nice and very friendly but once the actual doctor came in she was very irritable and basically talked to my fiancé and I as if we were idiots and didn’t know any better. We paid over $200 in medicine but due to the experience with Dr. Cantrell I wouldn’t recommend this or at least try to avoid having her as your vet. Besides that, every other staff member was very nice."

"I cannot endorse this vet enough. For context - my dog is VERY dog-reactive due to previous traumas and living on the streets for years. We found them last year after our rescue dog was attacked by another dog at our apartment complex. It was shortly after we moved to SC, so we had not gotten established with a vet here yet. I called them in a panic, they talked me through if I should take her to an emergency vet or if the injuries could wait until the next day. When I brought her in the next day, they were gentle with her and did great with her surgery. Our bill was SO much lower than we expected, especially for the exceptional care we recieved. We clearly chose to stay with VCA Westbury for her primary/annual care. They have been equally as amazing for this. As I said, she's very reactive and anxious - the vet and techs are patient and have a calming presence with her. They take the time to greet her before beginning an exam, and they trust us to put her muzzle on before any shots or blood draws. If you have any doubts about where to take your pet... take them here!!! You will get great care for a great price."
