Sterling Community Center
β OpenSterling Community Center, located at 113 Minus Street in Greenville, South Carolina, is a historic institution with a rich history dating back to 1967. Originally established after the Sterling High School fire, the center has since become a hub for community activities and programs. Managed by Paulett Brooks and Community Resource Coordinator Sylvia Vandross, the center offers a variety of services thanks to partnerships with Fourth Presbyterian Church, Sterling Alumni Association, Christ Church, and Bon Secours St. Francis Health System. The center, designated as a historic site by the Greenville County Historic Preservation Commission, continues to serve the community with sports programs, adult education, summer lunch programs, and more. With ongoing physical improvements and a new addition built in 2009, Sterling Community Center remains a vital resource for the Greenville community.
