"I was experiencing a "derate" (Maximum of 45 MPH and 120 HP) with my motorhome's Caterpillar C7 HEUI pump (Hydraulic Electronic Unit Injector). I suspect that the dealer I bought my home from had NOT changed the oil as he stated. When we determied the problem, I was informed that Caterpillar had a "worldwide freeze" on sending out HEUI pumps and I would have to wait for 77 days for a replacement pump to be delivered. I worked closely with Jason Cook and Daryl Evans at Blanchard Machinery, Caterpillar Dealer and Stephan Downing at Caterpillar corporate who assisted me in getting a Caterpillar-rebuilt HEUI pump in only 7 days since I live in my motorhome and had a "unit down." I would recommend any of the 12 Blanchard Machinery Caterpillar shops in South Carolina. I hope that I am in their area if I ever experience another engine issue with my motorhome."
