"Staff is very very nice and I think the rooms are reasonably clean. However, the rooms desperately need remodeling. Look old, smell old. Checked in again on 4/5/23 and I had to change rooms because the blinds were broken, phone was broken, and 2 of the three lamps didn’t work. It’s was like being in a cave. They did relocate me but in the new room the door security bracket was broken. It’s like something doesn’t work in every room I’ve stayed in here. The pool water was green. This is my last stay here."
"My room was on the 4th floor and upon my entrance there many dead bugs in the lamp above right when you enter. It immediately gave "motel" vibes as this was a first for me for a Hilton.. After eating dinner, I saw a roach on top of one of the light stands. I killed it and then went to the front desk to see what could be done. The front desk lady was nice but didn't really seem apologetic about the matter and was saying she could try to book me to another room. I told her I would think about it.. I went back to the room and did a heavy inspection of the whole room.. I was going to stay but then I checked underneath the A/C and it was filled with dead bugs and dark fecal matter.. I immediately packed my stuff and asked to be moved to another. I was then moved to the 2nd floor and once again there were dead bugs on the light lamp upon entering.. I did a heavy inspection and saw no roaches but the following night, I saw a stink bug near the light lamp by the entrance. I called again to let them I'm seeing bugs. I was a bit dissapointed about the cleanliness of the hotel. I would highly, highly encourage the general manager to ensure that a deep clean be done in the rooms and to AT LEAST clean the lamps. The dead bugs give the rooms a very unprofessional look. I decided to go to Hampton Inn & Suites Seneca-Clemson area and the rooms looked a lot cleaner. I will say on the positive side, that the hotel is at a great location with lots of food options, but that's about the only plus. The staff were nice as well.."
"* Stayed one night in a king room with sofa bed. Didn't use the sofa as a bed but did to just sit around. Not very comfortable though which is typical of a sofa bed. * When arriving in the dark, you can't see that there are train tracks right next to the hotel. When a train goes roaring by, the sound is pronounced although bearable. * The room had a desk and chair and I had planned on sitting there that evening, using my laptop. Well, there were no power outlets anywhere near! * The QR code to open the app and see the TV channels said to go to channel 5 for a list of channels. No such luck, just snow. The TV is just OK since it's one made for hotels with very limited options, not even any buttons for channel selection or volume. At one point, the remote stopped working and the front desk person said he had very limited technical knowledge. The only thing he could do was give us another room, smaller, without the sofa bed. We refused since we had settle in and unpacked. I fiddled with the remote for a while and finally got it to work again. We wanted to watch Netflix using our Chromecast but there is no way to switch to the HDMI port. *Bed was OK but pillows are tiny. Glad we brought our own as we always do when travelling by car. * Breakfast options were acceptable, but there were no trays to take breakfast up to the room. * Being a Gold member, there were complimentary snacks and drinks available but I wasn't made aware of that until we checked out. * I will probably stay at a different hotel should I need to revisit the area."
"Usually love Hampton Inn, but this facility needs to be freshened up. Rooms are feeling old and elevator/tub weren't even working. Great service though."
"Spent two nights on a “game” weekend. Room was musty - carpet wet when we arrived where AC was running. Beds are VERY uncomfortable- can feel all the springs poking through and one bed had blood stains on the sheets. Left Saturday morning at around 9:30 - returned after the game (10 PM) to a room that was not serviced (double checked and did not accidentally leave do not disturb on the handle). Went to front desk and was told “well it’s a game day”(?). Not a great experience - not going to stay there again."
