"From the time that I walked in everyone was polite and respectful . I love the way they handled and took care of Angel. My only complaint is the prices of some service. Pretty pricey when you raise puppers and have six adult dogs. You may say well you shouldn’t have so many dogs. Well this may be true at this time. But this is what it is for now… Otherwise very happy with my visit.."

"First visit was great. Moved to the area in November and after a lot of research I landed on Waccamaw. Everyone from the front staff, to our nurse, and the vet was great. The vet was very knowledgeable and made sure I understood exactly what he was recommending. They were very welcoming and understanding as my bulldogs are my children. My 8 year old goes in for dental surgery and they were very upfront with risks which meant the world to me. Pricing was also great and I received a follow up text the following day asking how my boy was. They also have an awesome reward program!! Thank you Waccamaw Regional Vet for being so kind!!"

"I have been in the Myrtle Beach area about 4 years and have had a less than pleasant experience with veterinarian offices and, groomers. I have a 12 year old pit bull hound mix that does not like uncomfortable situations it makes him audible which most people consider to be aggressive. I basket muzzle him for precautions and like to make everyone he comes in contact with him aware of his behavior! They took all my information and concerns and made us a appointment for same day 45 minutes later!!! Which is unheard of in this area. I needed him to be seen quickly because I was quite sure he had a ear infection and was having some other concerns. We arrived they greeted us and got us in a room quickly to see the vet. The vet assistant spoke with me for awhile about my concerns, his health state and watched his behavior which was a breath of fresh air instead of a forced stressful situation on both of us they took the time to see why my dog was making such a fuss! They discussed the what they could do to help him and cost with me so I was able to affordable take care of his needs without a surprise bill I couldn’t pay all of that day! After watching his behavior the vet assstant said we are going to take him back for his wellness check items needed to be done if he would let them take him they would be able to do the exam and that normally the dog being around the owner was the reason for much of the dogs that come across less than friendly reasons for acting that way was their job of protecting the owner! We worked together and he went right back with her! As I waited I heard nothing she said he was extremely compliant he didn’t make a peep while out of my hands , it was just him being protective of me that caused his behavior and knowing that now on anything Thayer had to do appointment wise would be so less stressful on both of us!!! It was a breath of fresh air to have them take the time to see he wasn’t aggressive he was protective and I have not had great experience with groomers and other vets in the area doing that I’ve been denied services or fired services that were not pleasant for both of us! He did have a ear infection which that got me an ointment fora d surprising he had a few fleas even tho I use topicals for fleas. The fleas he had were almost unseen, their not like normal fleas I was treating for they are sand fleas and are so small you can mistake them for a speck of dirt. They told me about this flea put him on bravecto which is a 3 month flea prevention treatment which was expensive but no more than what 3 months worth of topicals cost on top of on the shelf products I would end up buying for his skin when the topical failed! It worked out to be about the same. They told me in 2 weeks they wanted to see him to check out his ears and skin situation at no cost, and some other concerns I had and we made a plan for his health issues to be addressed. I felt so confident about his care and condition when I left that I think we found our new home vet office! It’s a shame that not all places you take your pets have the professional ism that this office team had when seeing my dog!! I would think in the fried it would be mandatory but it’s not! This team took on our challenge s and made it so easy to take care of and gave me confidence leaving! It takes a very knowledgeable team to do what they did for me and my baby! I 100% recommend you try out their office with your furry friend! If you have a uncomfortable friend they are professional and work together in a way that makes everything run smoothly in a judgement free zone if not you will love their kind and friendly, professional staff who without a doubt take a great deal of pride and professionalism in working to take care of every patient who comes thru! This month is 1$ new patients fees, take advantage of their deal and and make your appointment with them to experience someone who will know your animal as well as you and make sure they get the care they need! This was the first visit I have had in 4 years of different vets and feeling confidence"

"My Goldendoodle suffered a very painful infected tick bite wound on his tail. After a week of treatment with another vet clinic, the recommendation was to amputate his tail. I decided to go to Waccamaw Regional Vet Clinic(WRVC) for second opinion. Immediately my pup was evaluated by 2 vets (& excellent techs) and immediately the team initiated an advance wound care program including hydrotherapy and multimodal pain control! Less than 24 hours later my pup was holding up his tail with minimal pain.. AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING! Yes, he still has a long way to go to complete recovery but going to WRVC was a total GAME CHANGER - it was evident that we now have a very real chance of not only saving his tail but with full function AND with minimal pain/suffering! P.S. Additional “Icings on the cake” were the phone calls/ text messages (& photos) after visit to check up on us and answer questions!!"
