"I contacted Island Septic for a pump out service at my home. They were responsive in returning my call and showing up when they said they would. They consulted me on the condition of the system and were polite. I have no real issues with the service performed. However, I had been given a verbal quote of 375.00 and once the service was completed I was told the total was 650.00 (twice as much!). Apparently, I have a 1500 gallon tank and they had expected a 1000 gallon tank and did not realize it was larger until they finished pumping. When I questioned the large jump, I was told "they could pump some of it back in if I wanted". I would advice others to take care with the quoting / pricing process."
