"It’s a very good school staff is amazing overall awesome school"
"I have been burned so badly by public schools as a whole. So when we moved here, I was so selective in what school options I wanted to move into. Oakbrook, I’m embarrassed to say, was not my 1st choice, but was on my approved list. After moving here back in December of 2016, we decided to send him to the school that we were zoned for, even tho it wasn’t my first choice. I can not tell you, I am SO GLAD that I made that choice!! I explained to the office some of my fears and they placed him with THE BEST first time teacher!! Mrs. Parkhurst and Mrs. Riley (who retired last year) were the BEST first teachers that could have been placed in our path! We had been homeschooling before this. So come to find out, this was probably the worst year (grade level) to transition from homeschool to public school. But we managed, with the help of his amazing teachers! It was supposed to be a temporary thing. Just to meet some kids and make some friends. Yet, my son chose ON HIS OWN to go back the next year! (Which is this year) Which was an absolute shock, cuz the transition was pretty horrible in the beginning. Again he has amazing teachers!! Mrs. Lee, Mrs. Watson and Mr. Gibbs are fantastic at communication too!! If you are debating if you should come to this school or not, DO IT!! I am so involved and love these teachers so much! Not just the teachers, but the entire staff! From the office staff, to janitorial, to the educators, to the lunch ladies!! There isn’t much that I wouldn’t do for them!"
"Went there for 3rd and 5th grade. Loved my teachers and friends and all of the activities. Extended day was the best thing ever. Miss you guys."
