"This was an a wonderful tour. Our tour guide was amazing and he was so easy to listen to! I could have sat with him all day. The grounds are beautiful but the history is remarkable! Definitely with visiting!!"
"Excellent historical tour of the plantation is included with admission. Our tour guide, Allen, was terrific. He was very informative and honest about the history of the plantation. The grounds are beautiful, and you can walk through the house at no additional charge."
"The house was empty, and there was no furniture, you can only see the 1st floor, not the 2nd or 3rd. The Cemetery? A joke, no markers, nothing, I get that there were no family markers, but then don't send us there. The best part was seeing the Servant Homes. This place should cost 5.00, not 20.00."
"Had a phenomenal tour here. Was expecting a basic tour with common knowledge about plantations. Instead we had a fantastic guide focusing on the enslaved peoples' perspective throughout the years. I wished the tour could be longer as the wealth of knowledge from our guide was outstanding and she held everyone's attention with ease throughout the hour. They are still doing a lot of active work uncovering the history here and I will certainly be back again next time we visit the area."
"So so sad, I had such high expectations for this place from all the great reviews, but our tour was very average. We did not hear any stories from any enslaved people, and our tour stopped at the main house. If you plan to visit other plantations, I would recommend visiting this one first since the others are much larger and provide a lot more history. I truly think we would’ve had a difference experience with a different tour guide. Overall, our tour was not worth $20, but I am giving 3 stars because the grounds are beautiful."
