"DO NOT USE THEM FOR FFL TRANSFER. They list themselves as a FFL but then want to charge you a ridiculous $100 for the transfer. An employee even admitted to me this is a corporate charge because they don't want you buying firearms outside their inventory. Highway robbery. They even make sending the firearm back difficult. I've been coming here for years. No more. If you plan on calling them with a question, don't bother or waste your time. They don't answer their phones. I had been trying for 3 days to reach someone concerning this purchase. All of this tells me a lot about their customer service."

"I had a gun shipped to this store. This is the first time I tried to use Academy for this. What a joke. I walked all the way back to the gun counter. 3 people were behind the counter. It took about 10 minutes to be helped. Only 1 employee at that time was helping another customer. When I was finally helped, they pulled the gun out to make sure it was correct. Then they told me I had to go pay the FFL transfer fee. However, $100 for a transfer is outrageous."
"The sweetest person named Taylor helped me out sooooo much!!! She literally stayed and helped me in between helping other customers!!! I needed new shoes for work and I was trying to find some comfortable ones to work in (Amazon) … she was AWESOME!!! So grateful I came to this store!"
"I was shopping around for a folding table and Academy had the best deal. I ordered online this morning and was able to pick up this afternoon! The staff is friendly, brought it out in ten minutes and loaded it up in my trunk! Awesome experience."
