Everything needed for a wonderful relaxing stay in a third floor unit overlooking the live oaks and fairway below. What an easy experience dealing with vacasa. Staff was responsive and unit was so easy to book. 3 clicks of the mouse: choose dates, booked. Done. We’ll certainly be back!!"

"We always stay at the same place in Myrtle Beach every year, it has a great pool that we all love. This year we booked it through vacasa, under "things to know" it says that there is construction and the noise may effect the guest on there balcony or in the pool. With that being said we assumed we would be able to use the pool. Apparently not, we wanted a refund for misleading information, we stayed 1 night then left and went to a different resort. We called Vacasa everyday for a week and they kept saying they would call us back. They never did so we kept calling. Finally after 6 days of calling they said they wouldn't refund us anything because the pool wasn't listed under amenities, well when you say the noise will effect us in the pool we will think we can use the pool. This company is horrible and if I could give negative stars I would. I will still try to get something back for false advertising, it's not the last they will here from me! Not that it will do any good, they already got our money that's all they care about!"

"The abosolute worst in customer service. The only part of this rental that went well was Vacasa processing my payment. Completely unresponsive Customer Service, un-trained staff, no continuity in handling issues, and the issues were just one after another. As a renter, I would steer clear of any unit with any affiliation to this company. As a property owner, I would not consider this management company as an option to protect my investment. Unfortunately due to the horrible service from Vacasa, i plan on taking to social media and do everything I can to prevent another Renter from making the same mistake. I also need to report some safety issues to the City of Hilton Head. 401 Captains Walk ...... stay away! Arrived on a Saturday in May of 2023. The place was filthy. The only evidence any of cleaning done was the beds were made.... And given the condition of the unit, we questioned whether the sheets were cleaned. The appliances were not all working either. The microwave kept tripping the breaker and when I reported it to Vacasa, their first reponse was "Are your fingers wet when turning it on". After a brief exchange of very nice but choice words..... they told me to use the microwave on the countertop. Well the "microwave" on the countertop is a toaster oven and it doesnt work either. The stupidity and unresponsiveness from Vacasa just escalated from there. When we arrived there was food and drink stains on the tabletops, ketchup on the floor, food debris in the sink and silverware drawer and the dishes, glasses, and flatware were filthy. The balcony had broken glass and the outdoor furniture is so dirty we werent able to sit outside. Instead we elected to sit indoors and look through the dirty glass. The god aweful smell coming from the cabinet containing the pots and pans drove us to go out and buy our own. Ill stop here. You get the point. The moral of the story is stay away from Vacasa properties and 401 Captains Walk in HHI. Its Wednesday now and Vacasa still hasnt adressed the appliance issues. No surprise there. My plan is to continue the bad reviews until I get their attention."

"I just returned from a horrible experience with Vacasa at Hilton Head Island with my daughter. I am a nurse who just worked 3 straight years thru the pandemic & she is a nursing student. We desperately needed a restful week away & booked a few days at a HHI condo. We arrived to a “renovated” condo that was dirty & cluttered. I don’t know when a renovation happened but it wasn’t recent. There was food splattered on the kitchen backsplash, oily substance on the front of the fridge & every surface as if a greasy rag had been used to clean things, the floors were so grimy that we wore shoes inside all week (tile AND carpet), the toilets & showers were heavy with mold, the kitchen sink was leaking directly under the cabinet, the sink disposal emptied into the cabinet below, the closets were full of junk & so messy that they were unusable. The condos on BOTH sides of ours were active construction sites and construction began at 6:30 each morning and went past 11pm each night. Electric saws, drills, hammering, dropping of heavy tools..it was non-stop. Even lying out by the pool, we listened to the sounds of the electric saw. In the bathroom there was toothpaste spit all over the counters & walls from previous residents. It was disgusting. I’ve had NO response from Vacasa except that “the local team is handling it.” And the local team refuses to respond to me at all. I have called the local office and was on hold for over 35 minutes without ever receiving help. I was offered $120 refund finally for the worst vacation experience of my life. Will I ever see it? I doubt it. NEVER use Vacasa!"
