The Community Tap

"A long time personal favorite. The Community Tap boasts an amazing selection of craft beer, both on draft for on-site consumption and plenty of cans or bottles for take-home options. They also have a nicely curated wine selection in addition to some ciders or seltzers if that’s your jam. No kitchen, but they offer some small snacks or cheeses to accompany your drink - and they regularly have food trucks almost every evening. Even with their awesome beverage choices, the crown jewel of The Community Tap is the staff. Always friendly. Capable of educating you without being remotely condescending. Exceptionally knowledgeable of their offerings. Zach, Neil, and Kelsey have never steered me wrong, and I wish I had the time and space to name every one of their staff. Truly a pillar of Greenville’s craft beer scene."

"Truth be told, we went for a sake tasting so my review may be skewed by that. Cool little spot with plenty of nearby parking, outside seating and space. Private event area was very accommodating for our group. Beer selection was very good. Service was fine, nothing to write home about and surprisingly slower than expected - other locations I have visited were much better. If you are a beer or wine (hopefully Sake soon) enthusiast then you should give it a try."

"Visited Community Tap as we have heard great things about this place. They have a huge selection of craft beers and wines. Maybe we just visited on an off night, but the staff was not very friendly. The IPA’s were good, and the food vendor for the night was not bad. Wasn’t the best experience I’ve had at a local tap room, but certainly wasn’t the worst."

"Very nice selection of beer. They have a fair amount of wine as well, but I paid no mind to it. They to go beer was pricey but they did have a large variety to choose from. So while some 4 packs are $28 (no joke) you can still find a 6 pack for $10. They have a nice selection of beer on tap to enjoy there as well. Tons of indoor seating, and more out back on a deck, or in the parking lot covered by a tent with tables and benches. They kept the place nice and clean as well! I will go back."

"I visited on a Monday evening and probably caught them on an off day. The setting is bucolic and the location is great when you are riding bikes around town, but the vibe reminded me of an airport bar inside. If you order anything with the ability to create a head you get at least an inch of that. It says free wifi, but it's not clearly posted and good luck getting anyone's help after you close the ticket. FYI they allow 2 tasting pours before ordering."
