Charleston Stage's West Ashley Theatre Center is a vibrant institution located in Charleston, South Carolina. Situated at 1401 Sam Rittenberg Boulevard, this 10,000 square foot facility offers two dance and rehearsal studio spaces with sprung floors and mirrors, as well as a 130-seat performance space known as "The Pearl" or the Pearlstine Theatre. The Pearlstine Theatre is named in recognition of a generous $250,000 lead gift from the Pearlstine Family. Conveniently located at Ashley Landing, this theatre center is easily accessible from various areas including Mt. Pleasant, downtown, James Island, and the North Area, and is just a short distance from I-26 and I-526. Studio spaces and The Pearl are available for rental, making it a versatile venue for various events and performances. Additionally, Charleston Stage's Education Classes are held at the West Ashley Theatre Center, providing a dynamic learning environment for students of all ages. With a rich history of being in residence at the Dock Street Theatre since 1978, Charleston Stage continues to be a cornerstone of the Charleston arts community.
