The Bedford Hotel
“Nice friendly and efficiently run hotel . It has a certain charm and the rooms are in good order . We have stayed many times now and you can bring your dog too . Its ideally situated within the historic town of tavistock and its market and everything is within walking distance. Enjoyed the Dickensian evening there at the beginning of December and would recommend it completely.”
Crowne Plaza Plymouth, an IHG Hotel
“Went there for one night, room and bed were comfortable and the breakfast area had a wonderful view of the city. Staff were able to serve me something that wasn't on the buffet when I requested it. Was able to go swimming and enjoy the sauna and steam room that came with it. Would love to stay here again”
Premier Inn Plymouth City (Lockyers Quay) hotel
“Have stayed here over the last 11 years. It’s a short 10 minute walk to the Barbican were we catch water taxis to either Cornwall or Royal William yard. Found all the staff to be friendly and helpful.”

“Rooms were comfy, bar was OK but (quite expensive) and breakfast was tasty. They were a little slow in getting replacement breakfast buffet items out (fried eggs and mushrooms) when I was there. But otherwise a very good value stay.”

Premier Inn Plymouth City Centre (Derry's Cross) hotel
“Came here for food with my son and all the staff were friendly and amazing. I ordered a mix grill with a blue steak and OMG the steak was cooked to perfection and was up there with one of the best cooked steaks I've had in a very long time. This was our second visit to the restaurant and will definitely be returning”
Copthorne Hotel Plymouth
“ı stayef here for 1 night in a double room. The duvet and bed sheets were very clean, the ceiling fan a blessing in the heat and there was an extra fan in the storage area. I slept well and comfortably. The ironing board & iron also in the storage area were a great use. Clean spacious bathroom with shower gel, shower cap, shampoo and lotion. The breakfast was fantastic. Lots of choices and everything tasted nice. The staff were excellent, from the man at the desk who checked myself and my colleagues in, to the staff at the breakfast restaurant who made sure that we were okay and that we had everything we wanted. I would definitely stay here again whenever I go to Plymouth.”
Sand Pebbles Hotels
“Sand Pebbles Hotel in Hope Cove, Devon is a friendly, warm and welcoming restaurant, cafe, bar and hotel. Ian and Emma are superb hosts. The food is brilliant, served in man sized portions, incredibly tasty and great value for money. Nothing is too much trouble for the hosts. There is ample free parking and the hotel is located just 200 yards from the beach. Most people rush headlong towards the other pub in Hope Cove and spend half of their day trying to park and waiting for a non existent table to become free. Those in the know visit the Sand Pebbles Hotel in Hope Cove. It has better parking, friendlier staff and great food at even better prices. I've been there 3 times now and have to rate it a solid 5 stars”
Tri-Acre Kennels & Cattery - 5* Pet Boarding
“Our cat Misty (2 yrs old) stayed here whilst we went on holiday. We felt really guilty leaving her as she had never been away before and is a very affectionate girl and loves her humans. We needn't have worried, she was fine and they looked after her. She was a bit sulky with us for a couple of hours when we collected her, but that soon passed.”
Chatmar Pet Hotel

The staff are obviously very caring and knowledgable and nothing was to much trouble. Fabulous accommodation for any loved and cherished furry family member”

“Cannot fault the care, dedication and hard work Sharon puts in to ensure all her dog guests are well looked after. Mabel came back to us clean, happy, healthy, she had eaten well and was content. It's a 45 min drive for us to use this kennel, and totally worth it for the peace of mind for us, knowing our dog was safe and well cared for. 10 out of 10. ☆☆☆☆☆”
Boringdon Hall Hotel and Spa
“Exceptional customer service, the best we have ever experienced. We travelled with an infant and the staff went over and beyond to accomodate us and make our stay comfortable. A magical place to stay over the festive season, and the spa was amazing! We stayed in a few rooms during our stay and highly recommend the four poster rooms and the royal suite that has the jacuzzi. We can’t wait for our next visit. Thank you for everything Borringdon staff!”
Moorland Hotel
“Sometimes stop here for a beer. Looks a bit tired from the front but that’s the Dartmoor weather for you. Slightly retro but comfortable inside. Music choice at the bar is ‘80s ish. Which suits me. One real ale on a stick - Jail Ale from Dartmoor Brewery. Very nice and well kept. Plenty of parking”

Thurlestone Hotel
“After many years of visiting this wonderful hotel it never disappoints, the food was excellent along with the very friendly staff who made it all seem so effortless, with Jacob a real star in the rock pool where he worked so hard all day keeping a very polite and friendly manner in the blistering sun, he deserves a gold star. The rooms were to their usual standard with the view as mesmerising as ever. In my view the best hotel in the best location which is well worth a visit.”

“We had a lovely weekend here. The friendly staff made us most welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was delicious & beautifully presented at both dinner & breakfast, the room was spacious & spotless and the massage we had in the spa was one of the best I’ve had. The coast path is right on the doorstep providing stunning views from the cove view bedrooms and the restaurant/lounge. A true gem of a hotel.”
Two Bridges Hotel
“Great location. Try to come here during the day, sit outside and wander thru the river opposite or get acquainted with the Goose. They can have bad tempers (supervision of children advised). It is a lovely old Hotel, busy with weddings and parties. Inside you can order a drink and sit by the fireplace. Very friendly staff that makes the difference. Cozy atmosphere. The restaurant is very special, do book well in advance. You won't be disappointed as the flavors go dancing in your mouth (said Rick Stein in one of his TV episodes), but it is truly irresistible.”
Invicta Hotel
“We had a nice big downstairs room with a king size bed, separate shower and WC. The breakfast was freshly cook and excellent. All the staff were lovely and friendly. We paid 5 pounds for parking which meant we could park at the rear of the property . I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.”
The Mountbatten Hotel
“Really good value hotel. En suite bathroom/toilet. Parking most nights directly outside front door. Good clean room with comfortable bed TV. The courtesy extended by staff was outstanding., Good breakfast available. Hotel worth every penny.”
Elfordleigh Hotel
“Nice hotel, recently refurbished I believe. Comfortable beds, friendly staff, good leisure centre and pool, only issue was the temperature was uncomfortably hot and the hotel really needs to address this. Hence 4 stars for rooms.”
The Duke of Cornwall Hotel
“Good hotels are actually really hard to find, usually something for someone to moan at nut this hotel. Simply put old fashioned but in a great way, service, cleanliness, professionalism. You honestly can't go wrong. Yes there are absolutely cheaper hotels in Plymouth, last night I stayed in the Duke of Cornwall which was perfect. Tonight I'm in the travelodge. Currently writing this on the toilet while staring at the manky tiles and dirty toilet base, wish work had booked the Duke of Cornwall again! Don't make the same mistake.”
The Sportsmans Inn - Ivybridge Hotel
“Popped in for a drink, we ended up having something to eat, lovely vegetable curry. Staff are really nice, we will be back.”
The Fieldhead Hotel & Horizons Restaurant
“Lovely quite and friendly. If you want a warm and quite hotel this is the one for you. Classical music always playing, the food is exceptional and priced to suit. The view over Looe bay from the garden terrace is breath taking. The outdoor pool is delight on a hot. Just stunning.”
