CVS Pharmacy

"I recently had a miserable experience with this CVS, and will gladly never go back again.A prescription was digitally sent to them around 11am. I know that there was some back and forth between prescribed eye drops and what my insurance would cover, because they informed me when I went there soon after to await my prescription. The lady that was running the register was less than helpful and really could have cared less when I tried to get some details on when it might be ready. I was in need of beginning the prescription immediately for an eye problem that I recently developed. I heard nothing from them until 5:35 that night, when I got a text that said my prescription was being processed, and they would text when it was ready. I expected I would hear within an hour or so-as has been the norm with all my pharmacy visits to the Walmart pharmacy in Temple-which is often a mobbed mess. Next day I waited and called at noon. The robot answering service is horrible. When I finally got to a real person, the gentleman said he had no idea how long it would take, but I could come over and wait and try to get it pushed through. I gave them more time and then went over around 3. Same smiley lady retrieved my prescription from the bin, and dropped it in a pile of wires by the register, then asked if I had any questions. She didn't bother to take the medicine out and make sure I saw the directions of the proper way to take, or anything that other pharmacy do. Walmart moves you over to a pharmacist for a quick consultation-which is so helpful and professional. I will gladly go out of my way to not ever use this place again!"

"We have been going to this pharmacy for many years. My son is a type 1 diabetic and we get a lot of scripts there monthly. Honestly, there is a closer cvs near me and I tried it- nope! The techs and pharmacists here are amazing. They are friendly and always willing to answer questions. I’m not happy the hours changed but that is not their fault and I will stay at this location because of the people that work here . I have never seen them slack to not do more work etc."

"I visited the pharmacy this past Saturday evening. I called ahead to make sure they had the medication in stock. I submitted the scripts 25 min before they closed with a nice pharmacy tech whose name I didn’t catch but she had short hair and tattoos. She told me to come back in about twenty minutes before they close. Another woman who I believe was named Alyssa called me about 15 min later saying that they wouldn’t take the scripts because my doctor’s office wrote the date in a way that was unsatisfactory. While I can understand that, I do not understand why I was not told that when I was dropping off the scripts and why Alyssa would not simply allow my doctor who was literally a one minute phone call away (I called his cell and he said he could just call it in) to give another script for the uncontrolled substance. I got the distinct feeling that she was just trying to put off doing more work because it was nearing closing time. Very dissatisfied with my experience."
