MyCIL's Transitional Skills Center
● ClosedMyCIL's Transitional Skills Center, located at 1841 530 Electric Street in Scranton, Pennsylvania, is a school that empowers students with disabilities aged 14-21 to reach their goals. The center offers simulated life settings for developing practical skills tailored to each student's abilities and goals. The Transitional Skills Program provides flexibility and ongoing growth to prepare students for employment and future career options. As a Center for Independent Living, MyCIL offers five core independent living services through the Transitional Skills Center. The state-of-the-art facility includes community-based learning experiences, recreation, wellness, and group facilitation. The center recently received a $10,000 donation from Fidelity Bank to support its programming. MyCIL is a valuable resource for disability awareness, acceptance, and accommodation, with professionals who create opportunities for students to become contributing members of society.
