Situated off of Twin Oaks Drive near the municipal buildings on Sardis Road, the park offers a variety of trails with terrain ranging from easy to difficult. The park features an American Legion flagpole, a Rotary Garden, and a gazebo that is often used for family portraits and wedding photos. One of the highlights of Townsend Park is the Remaley Pond, which is stocked annually and is a favorite spot for fishing. The park also has two pavilions available for rental: the upper pavilion with 8 tables and the lower pavilion near the pond, which is the largest in all of the parks. Pavilion rental fees for residents are $50.00, while non-residents pay $100.00. The gazebo can also be rented for $25.00 for residents and $50.00 for non-residents.
