The week was filled with engaging lessons led by Rev. Dr. Ethelyn Taylor, Rev. Dr. Bernard Downing, and Terrine Datts, focusing on the stories of Joseph and Jesus Christ. Our program also included lively music sessions with Joan Clerk and Terrine Datts, fun games organized by Jayminn DeShields and David Powell, and creative crafts led by Helen Hampton and Myra Houston. The week concluded with a joyful Cook-Out on August 11th, bringing our community together in celebration.

Our library boasts a rich history, tracing back to its origins as the Frankford Avenue Branch in 1894. Over the years, we have evolved with the community, moving locations and expanding our services to better serve our patrons. Our current location, opened in 1956 and renovated in 1997, features modern amenities including Internet access, and a beautiful mosaic in the meeting room created by local children in collaboration with Network Arts.
