"I've been working with Sarah H. at Action Potential's beautiful new Media office since leaving a chain-owned practice out of frustration and lack of progress with cervical spine nerve pain that had persisted for months. I made little progress with the previous "group" PT approach which involves one PT overseeing multiple clients simultaneously. This seems to be the standard at the big name highly advertised chains and unfortuately has become more common as the independents are being bought up by large PT "corporations". In the previous group model, most of my PT work was done alone after the PT handed me off to an assistant while he worked with multiple other clients. The assistant would get you started and then walk away while you exercised so you were never certain that your form was correct. When you finished, you usually had to get the attention of the trainer or the PT for the next instruction as they were often preoccupied with other clients or socializing with one another. It seemed my pain would come and go and that many of my sessions were a head scratching experiment with unpredictable outcomes. I can't begin to describe the HUGE improvement 1:1 PT at Action Potential has made for me. 1. It is hands-on and customized. 2. The trainer is highly experienced and dedicated to me for the entire session. 3. Sarah studies my condition carefully, asks a lot of questions, monitors progress, and adjusts my exercises accordingly. 4. There is most always customized, meaningful and significant hands-on physical manipulation work done which provides so much more relief than the TENS, pressurized ice packs or traction table machines common at the group practices . 5. The team is really nice and gets to know you. You feel a part of the Action Potential family. 6. And many of the instructors are experienced in dry needling to provide additional relief should you need it. None of these services are ever pushed on you but just offered - and the a la carte services are reasonably priced. I can't say enough good things about Sarah and the team (Tracey and Heather are wonderful!) at Action Potential Media and I am grateful to have found them. With the work we have done and my home exercise program app (which includes narrated videos of me actually performing the exercises), I am almost pain-free and my range of motion has signifcantly improved. I look forward to discharge and the comfort of knowing that Action Potential is nearby in "everybody's hometown" should I need them in the future."
