Historic Trappe
β OpenHistoric Trappe, located at 201 West Main Street in Trappe, Pennsylvania, is a museum dedicated to preserving and showcasing the rich history of the Trappe area within the broader context of state and national history. The institution's mission is to collect, preserve, exhibit, and interpret artifacts that tell the story of the people, places, and events that have shaped the area. Visitors can explore three historic properties open for tours, including the Center for Pennsylvania German Studies in the Dewees Tavern, the fully-furnished Henry Muhlenberg House, and the ongoing restoration project of the Speaker's House, once home to Frederick Muhlenberg. Additionally, Historic Trappe is the owner of the Muhlenberg parsonage, currently undergoing architectural investigations for restoration.
