"My son has trauma to his eye and because of his age (3 years old) we were referred to Dr. Refice. I was asked to text pictures of his eye to some number. He is 3, getting him to stay still for pictures is not the easiest task but I sent it what I was able to capture. I then received very short texts back saying she didn't need to see him in the office and changed the instructions on the eye drops prescribed by his pediatrician (who we saw initially after the incident). I know we are in 2022 but texting a doctor I've never met about my son and then not even getting a retuned phone call just a text back saying he should be fine just doesn't sit well with me."

"They took very good care diagnosing my daughter that she didn't need glasses. My child is sensitive to anyone touching her face and I was surprised by their special techniques to accomplish her examination. Very good place for children with special needs, staff is friendly and fun."

"Would not recommend taking your child here. I called to confirm time and confirmed doctor wasn’t running behind. Waited over a half hour for our appointment. When I finally asked the receptionist if it was almost our turn she then let me know our first appointment would be about an hour total time. Would have been nice to know ahead of time about the length of this appointment and the dr running so late."

"This doctor was unfortunately completely dismissive to the symptoms and issues expressed regarding my daughter’s right eye despite my many failed attempts to address them with her throughout our appointment. My daughter was 6 months old at the time, and I had of course spent a significant amount of time there as her eyes needed to be dilated so that everything could be examined. After an eternity there, only to find out that my concerns would be minimized, I felt completely unheard as a parent. She insisted that her eye concerns were “normal” and ‘Well shes not doing it now, so everything is fine’. My gut of course told me otherwise, so I brought my daughter to another physician. Turns out there was something wrong! We are currently treating it. Had I waited until her follow up appointment (which she recommended originally until my daughter was about 1), my daughter would be dealing with this problem untreated for an entire year...if it would even be addressed then. I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews - however I feel that other parents need to be made aware of my experience. My daughter’s eye problems could have been much more difficult to treat later on in her life had I not made the extra effort to seek another professional. The experiences I had between this appointment and the second physician were night and day."

"Our 2 year old son has been wearing glasses for about a year. We were referred to the only pediatric ophthalmologist in our area. He was very knowledgeable, however his "bedside manor" was awful. He was not good with our son at all. Our pediatrician recommended we get a second opinion. After much research we decided on Dr. Refice. We are so pleased we did. She did agree completely with the first Dr. However, she was amazing with our son. He never got upset. He never fussed. He sat right on daddy's lap and let her really examine his eyes. Something that never happened at the other Dr. The staff at the office is wonderful. Overall we are extremely pleased!"
