Dr. Jan S. Grudziak, MD, PhD, is a distinguished orthopaedic surgeon specializing in pediatric and adolescent sports medicine. With a comprehensive background in congenital hip and foot deformations, as well as adolescent scoliosis, Dr. Grudziak brings extensive expertise and innovative surgical techniques to his practice.Educational Background: Born and raised in Poland, Dr. Grudziak completed his pre-med and medical graduate studies at the K. Marcinkowski University School of Medicine in Poznan, Poland. He defended his doctorate thesis in 1991, focusing on the genetic, demographic, and treatment variables influencing the outcomes of congenital clubfeet.Professional Experience: Dr. Grudziak moved to Pittsburgh to engage in research at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic residency at UPMC and a pediatric orthopaedic fellowship at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
