"overall, the food was good but the service was very slow. It wasn’t our waiters fault. I was here for a birthday dinner. We ordered appetizers and then waited for our meal for about 45 minutes after we finished the apps. It seems as if the kitchen isn’t big enough for a restaurant this size."

"We went in with a group of friends for dinner. There were 14 of us in their private room and we had a great time. The restaurant is a pretty space with a nice large bar area. The food was tasty - each person enjoyed every run we ordered. We had a lot of shared food. And, the service was nice. It was our first time at Mercado, but we will be back!"

"First time in this establishment. Solid 4 stars. Highly recommend the visit. Here are the facts of my visit. We live local and my elderly father really wanted to go (as did I). Arrived around 530pm Saturday evening July 15 no reservation and was seated right away A+. Our server was Rob. Let me tell you about this guy. He was on his game. Attentive is an understatement. This guy noticed that there weren't enough ice cubes in our water and brought a fresh pitcher. He also wasn't overbearing. He's an asset and as such my old man has specifically requested him. A ++ for Rob. Drinks A+ my dad had a diet soda it was cold and it was refreshing. I had a Peroni. Ice cold. Atmosphere grade A. I felt a little warm inside but not terrible. The bar seating is huge and the decor is nice without being uppity. Food - A plus it was piping hot as it should be and you will be full when you walk out. Only negative, I asked for linguine and I got spaghetti - Boo hoo first world problem. Not gonna complain. We both took a to go box home. Movie theater on the opposite end of parking lot. Prices are fair in my opinion. In line with most other Italian restaurants. Ample parking. Easy in. Easy out. Was the place pitch perfect - no. Nothing is but Mercato was close. My dad and I will be back."

"Incredibly disappointing. I wanted to love this place because I live 5 min. away. Such a great looking restaurant - amazing transformation from the previous place! But, let’s get into it: •the Coca Cola was awful. I told the bartender, he went back to shake the box (?), and the second one he served “looked a little darker” but still tasted like dark water - the bread. It looked promising, with the cute little dish of marinara on the side. The bread: stale and dry af. The sauce? Cold. But, I imagine they intended it to be. Just stuck me as odd. I had asked for butter, but no amount of butter made the bread edible. - the pasta. Pappardelle bolognese. First - it seemed to take much longer than it should have. The place was not crowded, and it’s pasta (fresh? homemade?)…it should take a very short time to cook. The bolognese? They’re not making that to order. It finally arrived, and something just looked off. You know how pasta is often finished in the sauce in the pan, and then topped with more sauce? The sauce on this pasta looked dried. The whipped ricotta didn’t look appetizing so I pushed it aside. I started digging into the pasta - some bites were lukewarm, some bites were hot. Definitely not consistent temperature throughout. I’d bet $100 that it was microwaved. It reminded me of microwaved leftover pasta like you’d eat at home two days after making it fresh. Did I eat it? Sure did. I was starving. The flavors were ok; but it wasn’t a deeply flavored bolognese like I was hoping for. The bartender never noticed or offered to refill my lousy Coke, until after I asked for the check. And, he had been right in front of me at the POS. He was perfectly amiable. I won’t go back. And, I have $75+ left on a gift card. I had read all the bad reviews of Mercato when it first opened, so I figured I’d give it some time to improve before I tried it. Unfortunately, it seems those improvements never happened."
