"I wish I could review this place with a 0. They require an extensive application for nothing to be ready by move in date. Shelease was helping me out to pick the right apartment but she also was taking a long time to respond to me. I first asked for her to email me only and not call as I have an important job and can’t answer the phone all the time but she still called instead of emailing me. She first gave me a date when I could move in but then said that the apartment wasn’t going to be ready by that date so I had to wait another month. Fast forward to the move-in day. I had to leave work 3 hours early to come in to sign paperwork and be there to get my keys when they didn’t even give me my keys until they were going to close! Before reading the contract I asked for pest control documentation they all seemed confused and said they don’t provide that. I did say every apartment/ living area is required to share that information with every tenant. They then said that pest control comes every Tuesday and that they didn’t have any records. I then asked them how don’t they have records for every apartment. They responded that they get their invoice at the end of every month. After going over the contract the last page had information about pest control saying that they are stating that they do that before anyone moving in. This shows how they lack acknowledgment of their contracts. While filling out the contract I asked a lot of questions because it was quite confusing and to add it needs to be revised. After waiting 3 hours for my keys they told me that they were working on a few things but they were almost done and that I could start moving my things in. Then a few minutes later they told me that perhaps the appliances weren’t going to be there by move-in. I asked them what the appliances included they said refrigerator, dishwasher, and stove. I asked what was the latest it could get there they said 5 pm and it was currently 4:47 pm. Before they gave me all of that information I signed the contract and it stated that all my appliances were going to be in there before moving in. I rented a U-Haul truck and had people waiting for me all of those hours so I couldn’t get that time or money back. When I spoke with the manager Taylor she stated that the only thing missing was the appliances and that a guy who was off on Saturday the next day was going to come in to put the sink in. Also, the appliances were going to come either Monday or Tuesday. After all the frustration I said ok because I didn’t have a choice everyone was already there!! But I asked for her to do a rent concession because there were a lot of things going wrong that not what was said on the contract she said she was going to talk to corporate and was going to get it all figured out for me. I also asked for them to pay my Peco bill for the days that I will not be using the home since it’s uninhabitable she said they would do that. I left and when I went to go see the apartment after all the hours waiting it was horrifying. The very first thing I saw was a big cockroach and the agreement/contract stated that they are stating that they did pest control before someone moved in. I saw trash everywhere in the living room, hallways, and bedrooms just everywhere. There was a door missing for the closet, the windows were dirty, the knobs missing, and for the best part, the toilet was not even put in! Nothing was done and like I said all the people helping me move were already on their way and we had to put my items in there. This place was uninhabitable and it was a horrible experience. I have pictures, times, and dates of it all. I will be looking for a lawyer and filing a lawsuit if they can't resolve this issue or give me my money back because this was not what I signed the contract for. Please, everyone! Avoid this place and NEVER rent here!"
"Made several noise complaints about the person living above me and the leasing office told me there is nothing they can do. It literally sounds like some one is coming through my ceiling..from the time I get up in the morning until I go to sleep. It’s horrible. I have so much anxiety because of it. Not only does the person above make noise all day, she literally smokes weed on the side of my apartment where my daughter’s room is. But no need for me to report that to the office..if they can’t do anything about noise complaints I’m sure they won’t do anything about people smoking weed in front of my apartment..oh and this morning I walked outside to dog poop. THEY CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT ANYTHING! Oh and one last thing…my oven and stove went out months ago they gave me a dirty replacement from another apartment that barely works..it’s wires hanging from under it and smells like gas. They said they ordered a new one ITS BEEN 3 months with no updates. Update: still no stove, and my washer stopped working..we will see how long it takes to get a new one"
"Overall stay has been great, my leasing agent Alexis really worked hard to get me what I needed and the apartment is mostly perfect. She also corrected an issue with my apartment not having a stove upon my move in which I was appreciative of. Location is great and pricing is fair. My biggest complaint is one of my neighbors is obnoxious. They smoke Marijuana. Their apartment which comes through the vent right into my washer and dryer area where I keep my clothes. I won't blame International city for that as they can't control a tenant deciding that they don't care about being mindful of their neighbors but I will be submitting a formal complaint as the smell is awful."
"Living at International is okay. When I have a problem in my apartment and I need something fixed they get it fixed in a timely manner. They are good with response time and reaching out. If I have a problem or need a question answered Taylor is available to assist. I do wish they had more flowers like before but they keep the grass cut nice. And keep the dog park clean for people with animals. My apartment is a nice size it’s a nice area to live in quiet and out of the way. Not much noise out of the ordinary."
"I am a resident of a street where the rear windows of the apartments face the front of our homes. Attached are pictures of a broken window, two doors and a screen that are apparently the result of the doors being thrown out of the window. This issue has been unaddressed for over a month, and it is well beyond time for it to be taken care of."
