Settlers Cabin Park, located at 608 Ridge Road in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, spans over 1,610 acres across Collier, North Fayette, and Robinson Townships. The park is home to a historic 1780 log cabin, identified with the help of archaeologists from Carnegie Mellon University, giving the park its name. Although some areas of the park have a history of oil and coal mining, Settlers Cabin Park has been reforested and now boasts untouched, rugged landscapes. The park features 11 groves and shelters named after American Indian people and terms, such as Algonquin, Seneca, Apache, and Tomahawk.

Established with the combined efforts of the Ladies Review Club of Oak Lane, the Library Association, and funding from Andrew Carnegie, our library has been serving the community since 1910-11. Steeped in rich local history, the Oak Lane Library stands as a testament to the dedication and spirit of the neighborhood's early settlers and their descendants. Our library is more than just a place to borrow books. We offer a range of programs designed to enrich lives and build essential skills. Kids in grades 3 to 8 can engage in hands-on learning activities, such as sewing a button, sending an email, and even doing laundry. We also provide free school supplies and books, and host events where students and families can discover our vast resources.
