"Like similar reviewers, had a great experience in 2021 but 2022 was not good here. I've wasted 1.5k of my hard earned money on exhaust catalytic converter repairs. My car didn't sound good the day I picked it up, they took it back and said it was a Code reset issue. Well, the rear CAT lasted 4 months. Bottom line, prices have gone up and service down."
"Wasn’t a great experience this time around. Took my car in for emissions/inspection since things went smoothly the year prior. My car is only two years old and has 12,000 miles on the clock; it passed emissions but I was told it failed inspections due to a bent axle and they can replace it for approximately $1000. Found the news weird since I rarely drive this car and have never hit a pothole or driven on bad roads. Returned later in the day to ask for something in writing but the paperwork I got never mentioned a bent axle. I decided to call the dealership to make an appointment for a second opinion (remember, over $1000 to “fix”!) , took the car to them and paid again for an inspection—which PASSED by the way. The dealership showed me where a rubber boot was cut/fractured and said that’s not a reason to fail inspection. They ordered a new part that arrived in two days and replaced it under warranty. This was really inconvenient since I couldn’t drive my car for a week since it was past the end of the month (expired inspection) and I had to pay a second time for the 2024 inspection sticker. I can definitely say that was my last visit to this location, and likely won’t be taking any of my cars to Meineke in general."
