As part of the Free Library system, we proudly serve the Richmond and Port Richmond neighborhoods, offering a wealth of resources and programs for all ages. Our library has a rich history dating back to 1897, when it began as a "Traveling Library" with just 300 books. Thanks to the generosity of Andrew Carnegie and Anne W. Penfield, the current library building was established in 1910, providing a permanent home for our growing collection. Renovated in 1994, we now offer modern amenities, including Internet access, to meet the needs of our patrons.
