Heritage Point Apartments

Sharlene Woodruff, the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of HDC, has been with the organization for over 30 years. She oversees finance and accounting activities for HDC and its subsidiaries, ensuring the organization's mission of creating thriving communities where every resident can reach their full potential. When not working, Sharlene enjoys spending time with her dogs and camping with her husband.

Tammie Fitzpatrick, the Chief Operating Officer, leads the organization's strategic planning and oversees departmental goal setting. With over 15 years of experience in real estate development, Tammie is dedicated to finding solutions to the affordable housing crisis. In her free time, she enjoys weightlifting, hiking, and exploring new cities.

Debbie Gable, the Vice President of Resident Services, leads a team that supports residents in promoting economic mobility, housing stability, and health and wellness. With over 35 years of experience in nonprofit organizations, Debbie is passionate about advancing equity and promoting human dignity. She enjoys storytelling, swimming, and spending time with her granddaughters.

Residents at Heritage Point Apartments have the opportunity to engage in community-building activities such as creating community gardens, hosting health fairs, and planning celebrations. They can also participate in voter education and registration drives to advocate for affordable housing resources. The Resident Advisory Council provides a platform for residents to share their stories and influence policy decisions.

The Resident Academy of Leadership and Inspiration (RALI) offers training workshops for residents to develop leadership and community-building skills. Residents can also participate in the Community Leadership Institute to create action plans for positive change in their communities.

HDC's first community with a preference for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities is located at 1528 West in Allentown, PA. This new housing community, developed in partnership with Alliance for Building Communities, Inc., offers 49 affordable apartments funded by Low Income Housing Tax Credits and other sources. The Eastern Pennsylvania Down Syndrome Center is also involved in this project, providing support services for individuals with Down syndrome.
