"I spoke to a visitor center curator and they gave me a map of the area and shared their personal recommendations on what to visit (including things that weren’t listed on the map like the Tiffany’s mosaic in the Barry building). I highly recommend chatting with an employee to talk about your interested and goals for your visit to Philadelphia"
"As a fine individual who was making his initial visit to some noticeable historical sites in Philadelphia along the prominent Independence Hall dating back more than 250 years with a load of history dating back to 1682 when William Penn initially established the contemporary city of Philadelphia on 1000 acres of land, further expanding his land claims through the evacuation of numerous Lenni-Lenape tribal individuals. I initially came into this respective Visitor's Center from the Autopark Garage oriented on the premises steps away from the historic Pennsylvania State House and was instantly met with awe with the contemporary fixtures and interior prevalent, in addition I was massively impressed with the exhibit, a testament to the anecdotal history of Philadelphia from the basis of numerous cultural categories, from the presence of the Crack of the Liberty Bell in 1846 to Food served in the American Revolutionary War to Clothing in addition to historical figures of Philadelphia from William Penn to Benjamin Franklin to Lucretia Mott and Alice Paul of the Women's Suffrage Rights Movement, which impressed me, considering my gracious historical interests and curiosity to learn about Philadelphia's Historical Significance. Despite the fact that this respective visit was relatively brief, I was flattered with how impressive this historical Visitor's Center was during my visit, I will potentially return in the future to further advance my engrossed self."
"Got there at 8:30 and stood in line in the hot sun for 30 minutes waiting for the opening time. It would have been nice to have something set up to shade people. I was covered in sweat by the time we entered, something that I rarely do. Most of the history panels were similar to what I read to my family from the website while we were getting ready this morning. I found that very helpful. The bell itself was in a fitting location overlooking Independence Hall. The windows were fairly scaled up from the sprinklers(which came when we were looking at it the evening before). Last time I visited, the bell was located much further away."
"This is not just a visitor information Center it is a small museum in itself and filled with cafes, tourist shops and eateries. So don’t just plan to go there to get some information about the Independence Historic Park ( which is part of the services it gives including guided tours) budget some time to hang out there, eat, go through the displays , watch the historic short movie’s presentation and to shop there. Entrance is free."
"The Visitor Center's staff is very helpful for whatever information you may need. It is also a great spot to get free tickets to some of the local sites and to pick up gifts from a couple of their souvenir shops. They also have a cafe with plenty of seating and clean restrooms. This place is a good starting point for anyone visiting Philadelphia for the first time."
