Longwood Gardens Music Room
The Longwood Gardens Music Room is a historic and elegant space located at 1001 Longwood Road in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Originally built in 1923 by Pierre and Alice du Pont for private entertaining, the Music Room features beautiful walnut and silk paneled walls, a teak floor, a grand fireplace, and an elaborate molded and painted plaster ceiling. Visitors during A Longwood Christmas can enjoy the room decked out for the holidays, with the portraits of Pierre and Alice du Pont hanging on opposite walls. The room originally housed the first organ console and one of Pierre du Pont's two Steinway concert grand pianos, and today it is used for art exhibits, small lectures, and receptions. It is a stunning and historically significant space within the Longwood Gardens estate.
Open Air Theatre
The Open Air Theatre is a beautiful institution located in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, United States. Complimentary guest tickets are available for general admission, excluding specially ticketed events and blackout days.
