Sleep Inn Center City

"This gets good marks for what it is: an affordable hotel in Center City. I stayed because I had work in Center City, and it was good for that. It is in Chinatown, within walking distance to the PA Convention Center, City Hall, etc. I am not sure if I would take a holiday in Center City, so this hotel cannot be better than what it is. The rooms were perfectly fine for one person (and probably a couple), but I wouldn't want to stay with a family. They looked like standard corporate hotels, i.e., not inspiring and without much character, but that's fine. They were clean. They wanted to charge me $50 to check in two hours early, but I decided to check my bag instead. They gave me a ticket, but then left the bag out in the open; when I came back five hours later, it was still there (intact), out in the open, and the front desk person was not there. The parking was $25 a night, which may or may not be standard for the area. There were various restaurants and bars nearby; the Bar-Ly is an interesting mix of sports pub and Asian food. I ordered a Pad Thai and Lager, which was fine. So to conclude: if you have to be in Center Center, and you don't want to spend too much money, but you don't want to stay in a dive, this is fine. If you are looking for something special, there are plenty of nicer hotels not that far away, but are much more expensive."

"For the price and location, this is a good hotel. There was a pretty gross smell in the lobby for multiple days, but the room itself was clean. Could do with updating the carpet, but otherwise no complaints."

"Great price and location. Most things are walking distance! The hotel is very worn, but the rooms are clean. No big deal there. However, the breakfast included one waffle maker and a toaster that barely worked. The lobby smelled like trash. They do not give you enough towels and the lobby doesn’t have any."

"Highly over priced hotel. They charged ~$417+ tax for one night stay. The hotel is not of this rank. Room was really small. My room was in the ground floor and noisy. I can hear every discussion on the lobby. The breakfast was good. The only best part of this hotel is location. China town is within 5 minutes walk. Many restaurants were there. Convention Center is within walk. Rail station for airport and Amtrak station are also within 7/10 mins walk."

"This location is wonderful. I stayed here because of the good deal two years ago and came back because the location is wonderful. The rooms are a little worn and worse for wear but clean and the beds are comfortable. The two things that I disliked two years ago, I dislike now. Breakfast and parking. The parking lot is manned by a 3rd party and (as of this review) is $25 a night that you stay and you have to pay it at the window before you even check in. Breakfast is of questionable safety at best. Very filthy waffle maker and possible mold on the bagels. I only felt safe eating what was prepackaged aka not so great yogurt. But there's amazing inexpensive food on the same block. I love staying here, smack dab in the middle of Chinatown and within easy walk to the Fashion District and the rest of Center City. Plus it's 3 blocks from the Septa station making the whole city and beyond within easy reach. But I can't say enough bad about the breakfast. I recommend staying here but bringing your own breakfast food."
