Wharton Square Playground is a park located at 2300 Wharton Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. In response to schools being closed, the institution is providing meal service and drop-in activity space for students from Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. through noon. Students can receive up to two grab-and-go meals at this location. Essential personnel will be on-site to distribute meals to students and families. In addition, the City will open 50 City-owned facilities, including gyms and recreation centers, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for activities and limited meals. These sites will be staffed by Parks & Recreation team members. All other Parks & Recreation sites across Philadelphia will be closed to the public. The institution aims to ensure that no child goes hungry during this challenging time.
