The Arboretum's mission is to connect the campus's 216-acre grounds with those who study, work, and visit there. By maintaining the health, diversity, and history of the tree collection, the Arboretum honors the original 1834 landscape design by William Carvill. Some of the trees at Haverford College Arboretum have been around since the founding of the campus, making them iconic landmarks.
