Located at 540 California Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15202, The Music Note is your go-to destination for comprehensive music education and community engagement. We offer a variety of programs and services to cater to all ages and skill levels.

Private Music Lessons

When you sign up for private lesson instruction at The Music Note, you can expect plenty of individual attention and focus. Each lesson covers various aspects of music such as music reading, sight reading, technique, and artistry training. Our private lessons are priced at $31 for a half-hour session and $51 for an hour-long session. As you progress, ensemble opportunities will become available. We offer instruction for a variety of instruments.

The Note-ations Community Choir

Join our newly named Community Choir, "The Note-ations," which consists of community members with varying levels of musical training. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., culminating in a concert at the end of the semester. No singing experience is necessary, and everyone is welcome to participate.

Early Childhood Music Classes

Designed for children aged 0-5 years old, these classes encourage creativity and musical exploration. Parents become active participants, providing the security children need to thrive. Through playing instruments, singing, moving, and exploring, children will develop confidence, self-control, and communication skills.

Community Handbell Choir

Our Community Handbell Choir welcomes members of the community with various levels of musical training. The group performs on a range of handbells and handchimes and rehearses on Monday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a concert at the end of the semester. No ringing experience is necessary, and everyone is welcome to participate.

Art Camp

Our Art Camp offers children in grades 1-8 the opportunity to explore various artistic techniques and mediums. Activities include drawing, painting, crafting, and games. Participants will also tie-dye their own t-shirts, enjoy a daily snack, and experience the art of music. The camp runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Choir Camp

The Choir Camp provides a fun and engaging environment for children to explore singing, instrument experiences, games, arts & crafts, and more. This camp runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and promises a week full of musical enjoyment.

Please note that all handbell, handbell set, and any other instrument sales are final. Returns are not accepted, and refunds will not be issued.
