National Riding Stables, located at 610 Taneytown Road in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, is not just a travel agency - it is a sanctuary for distressed horses. Our mission is to rescue horses from abuse, neglect, and slaughter, and provide them with loving retirement homes as trail or companion horses. When you take one of our award-winning Licensed Battlefield Guided horse tours of Gettysburg National Military Park, you are not only experiencing the thrill of the battlefield on horseback, but also supporting our cause. Portions of your ride fee are tax deductible, and donations of time and funds are greatly appreciated. Our guided horseback tours on our rescued horses are a vital way for us to raise funds for their care and raise awareness of the need to save and heal these beautiful animals. We are closed for the winter season but will reopen in March 2023, weather permitting.
