Cully Park
● ClosedCully Park, located at 5810 Northeast 72nd Avenue in Portland, Oregon, is a 25-acre park that has been transformed from a former landfill into a beautiful green space for the community to enjoy. In partnership with Verde and Let Us Build Cully Park, this park is a symbol of neighborhood improvement and a testament to what the Cully neighborhood can achieve. The park was once a landfill known as Killingsworth Fast Disposal, which was closed in 1990 and acquired by the Department of Environmental Quality. The City of Portland purchased the property in 2002 and, after implementing a master plan in 2009, began development in 2011. The first phase of the park opened in June 2018, with funding from a mix of public and private sources, including grants and donations facilitated by Verde.
