The Homestead Schoolhouse, located in the heart of the Woodstock neighborhood in southeast Portland, Oregon, is a preschool dedicated to nurturing life-long learners. Housed in a historic home built in 1912, which was once the Old Homestead Market and Gallery, we have been welcoming children ages 2.5-5 since 2010. In addition to our main location, we have expanded to The Homestead Annex, providing additional space for our younger students. Our play-based curriculum aims to familiarize children with school, encouraging socialization, independence, and a love for learning. From table time activities to circle times with songs and stories, our program focuses on developing fine and gross motor skills, as well as academic readiness.

Lotus Heart Preschool is a play and nature-based program located in Southwest Portland, Oregon. We welcome potty-trained 3-5 year olds for our half-day program from 9:00am-1:00pm. Our school is situated across from the beautiful Pendleton Park and Hayhurst Elementary School, providing a natural and inspiring environment for children to learn and grow. At Lotus Heart, children learn through play, experiential learning, and direct interaction with nature.
