National monument conservation in Oregon

Oregon Caves National Monument & Preserve, located at 21000 Caves Highway in Cave Junction, Oregon, is a park and tourist attraction nestled deep within the Siskiyou Mountains. The dark, twisting passages within the marble rock formations known as the “Marble Halls of Oregon” await your discovery. Join one of the guided tours to experience the wonders of caving and explore the mountain from the inside out. Visitors can camp out under the stars at one of the 17 first-come, first-serve campsites, or visit the park store for Oregon Caves themed books and gift items. The Friends of the Oregon Caves and Chateau, a non-profit organization, is dedicated to protecting and preserving this unique natural site.

The Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument, located in Ashland, Oregon, is a stunning ecological wonderland at the meeting point of the Cascade, Klamath, and Siskiyou mountain ranges. Established in 2000 to protect its diverse range of resources, the Monument is home to a wide variety of wildlife and offers activities such as hiking, wildlife viewing, fishing, and more. Motorized and mechanized vehicles are allowed on open roads, with opportunities for volunteers to help preserve and share this special place.
