PCC Swan Island Trades Center
Located at 6400 North Cutter Circle in Portland, Oregon, the PCC Swan Island Trades Center is a 20,000-square-foot facility that houses the college's Apprenticeship and Trades department. The center offers programs in Facilities Maintenance Technology, HVAC/R, Electrical Trades/Apprenticeship, and Fiber Optics. With operating hours from Monday to Thursday, the center provides a range of educational opportunities for individuals looking to advance their skills in various trades. The Swan Island Trades Center works in collaboration with the nearby Cascade Campus and PCC's CLIMB Center to provide continuing education, training, retraining, and professional development for businesses in the Swan Island area. Programs offered include two-year degrees, certificates, apprenticeships, and training programs in areas such as Facilities Maintenance Technology, HVAC Installation, Welding Technology, and more. PCC acquired the former Oregon Motor Pool Facility in 2010 with the goal of establishing a trades facility to meet the needs of local businesses. With funding from the State Legislature and PCC's voter-approved bond, the center has become a hub for technical education and workforce development in the industrial core of Swan Island.
