Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

"Went to dinner with my best friend last night. We rarely get to go out together because we are both single moms. We chose to go here to catch up and have a drink/food. The restaurant was extremely busy when we arrived around 7:30. We had to wait but they were flipping tables pretty quick so, we got a table as a walk-in, in less than 20 minutes. The food was very good, and our server seemed nice. She had 3 tables including ours. Everything was going accordingly until towards the end of our food, our server stopped by the table to say "The sooner you check out, the sooner I can get out of here. Just if you're wondering." I've worked in the customer service industry for 10+ years (restaurants included) and nothing makes me more irritated than someone rushing your experience. It's not like I didn't pay almost $60 for my meal alone..... I thought it was super unprofessional and really cut my time with my friend short. It was only 8:20 on a Friday night!! My suggestion for her would to give up serving and get a job that works 8am-5pm if she has such an issue with being at work at 8:20 pm on a Friday night! It ruined the experience, and I know from years of serving that saying something like that will impact the tip, and the nice dinner for two friends. I hate doing bad reviews but I do hope the server sees this and learns from her mistake because in my opinion it was flat out rude."

"I've been going to Olive Garden since the 80's. Their Spaghetti and meatballs were awesome. Their salad was fresh and great same with the soup. My wife and I celebrated many wedding anniversaries there. This last visit was a huge disappointment. The salad was wilted and bland. The minestrone was flat, and the chicken and dumpling soup was watery and flat. The fried shrimp with slivers of onions and peppers were really good! We both had the Grilled Chicken Marguerite. The Chicken was not grilled, it was cooked on a flat-top or pan-fried. Not what was advertised. And it had a spot that was undercooked a little. The once garlicky breadsticks were not hot and had no garlic on them. The waitress was very professional, not a warm Italian feeling. But she was very proficient and we tipped her $20 on a 72.00 tab after tax. I only tip on pre-tax. Trying to get me to tip on tax is wrong. Public corporations seem to have eroded every restaurant they bought. It really makes me sad."

"This Olive Garden is a good one ,food was delicious calamari was fried just right not over cooked as most do, grilled Salmon and broccoli was prepared well, and the service was prompt as well as curtious, fairly new building in good repair and decorated well. Prices were very competitive, maybe even gone down a bit or it seemed that way."

"My family celebrated my son 17th birthday at Olive Garden. He picked the place. It turned out to be a great time. I enjoyed the endless salad, and my son and wife had the soup. I had the eggplant parmesan with a side of spaghetti. It was delicious. My wife had the chicken parmesan, and my son had the seafood Alfredo. They both enjoyed their meal. On top of that, we had the best waiter. His name was Peter. This guy is a 5 star service professional. He checked in with us frequently but not too much. Our drinks never ran out. Very well spoken and polite. He was very efficient as well. He set us up to go with all the frills and even ran outside to give my daughter her phone that she left. Bravo Peter. Tall skinny with the pony tail like hair."
