Lawton Ballet Theatre, located in Lawton, Oklahoma, is proud to offer high-quality ballet training through the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® National Training Curriculum. Our program includes pointe technique for dancers aged 10 and up, tap dancing in classic and musical theatre styles, jazz dance including musical theatre, commercial, and African jazz, modern dance focusing on Horton and Graham technique, and lyrical dance combining elements of ballet, jazz, acrobatics, modern, and hip hop. In addition to dance classes, we offer acting, musical theatre, stage combat, stage makeup, and technical theatre courses to provide a well-rounded performing arts education. At Lawton Ballet Theatre, students have the opportunity to perform in two musicals each season, The Nutcracker every December, and a Spring Recital in May. Company dancers also compete in competitions and participate in community events. With year-round enrollment and flexible class schedules, there is always a chance to dance at LBT.
