Ark Cooperative Preschool, located at 400 Wayne Avenue in Defiance, Ohio, is a school that focuses on teaching age-appropriate letter and number recognition, as well as promoting good socialization and the importance of taking turns. The children at Ark Cooperative Preschool are actively involved in caring for toys, serving snacks, and cleaning up after themselves. As a ministry of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, the preschool has been serving the community for 33 years. It is licensed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and undergoes annual inspections. All staff members are required to take classes in First Aid/CPR, Child Abuse and Neglect, and Common Childhood Illnesses. They are also fingerprinted with the state, including both BCI and FBI checks.
