Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum
β ClosedLocated in Dayton, Ohio, the Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum is a historic institution founded in 1841. As one of the nation's oldest rural garden cemeteries, it offers a unique cultural, botanical, and educational experience for visitors. With over 3,000 trees and 165 specimens of native Midwestern woody plants spread across 200 acres of rolling hills, the Arboretum is a peaceful and serene place for reflection and remembrance. In the coming months, Woodland Cemetery will undergo enhancements, including the construction of new walkways and an entry road. As a result, the main entrance may be intermittently closed, and visitors are asked to use the alternative entrance located off Waldo Street. These upgrades aim to create a more welcoming and accessible environment for all who come to pay their respects and remember their loved ones.
