Lucy Braun, this preserve is a testament to her love for studying the flora and fauna of Adams County, Ohio. The preserve features natural grassland openings known as cedar barrens or glades, which are home to rare species like Texas sandwort and blue-hearts. Designated a National Natural Landmark in 1967, Lynx Prairie is protected to save the best of the few remaining remnants of the once-extensive prairies of the area. The preserve offers a variety of native grasses and wildflowers for visitors to enjoy, as well as three interconnecting loop trails named Red, White, and Green. These trails provide a peaceful trek through the prairies, where butterflies like great-spangled fritillaries and swallowtails can be seen floating about.

W. W. Knight Nature Preserve
