Her artistry extends beyond bas-relief to include three-dimensional statuary stone sculptures and imaginative multi-media ceramic avian vessels. Karen's journey as an artist began at the tender age of five, when her kindergarten teacher recognized her talent and inspired her lifelong passion for art. Throughout her life, Karen has embraced various forms of artistic expression, studying watercolor, acrylic, and oil painting. However, it was during her time at the Art Academy of Cincinnati in 1979 that she discovered her true calling in stone sculpture.
