Auglaize Village
Auglaize Village, located at 12296 Krouse Road in Defiance, Ohio, is a museum and tourist attraction founded in 1966 by the Defiance County Historical Society. The village consists of a collection of restored buildings from the 1800s, showcasing rural life in northwest Ohio during that time period. Originally gifted 40 acres and a red barn by the Mansfield Family, the village has since expanded to include an additional 80 acres. In 1975, the Society turned over the museum complex to the people of Defiance, allowing the County Commissioners to secure grants and assistance for its preservation.
