S. Derrick Eddy, MD is a sports medicine physician located at 6076 Whipple Avenue Northwest in North Canton, Ohio. Dr. Eddy has been practicing since 2006 and joined Akron Children’s Sports Medicine Center in 2016. He is a graduate of West Virginia University School of Medicine and completed his residency in pediatrics there. Dr. Eddy also completed a primary care sports medicine fellowship at Akron Children’s. Dr. Eddy specializes in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal problems, pain, injuries, and provides home exercise programs, ultrasound-guided injections, platelet-rich plasma injections, and simple fracture care for adolescents and teens. Robert Abood, MD, FAAP
Robert Abood, MD, FAAP is a renowned pediatric pulmonologist and the medical director of the clinical exercise physiology lab at Akron Children’s in North Canton, Ohio. Dr. Abood has been practicing since 2018 and is board-certified in general pediatrics and pediatric pulmonology. He specializes in treating conditions such as cystic fibrosis, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, high-risk asthma, and performs pulmonary function testing and cardiopulmonary exercise testing. Dr. Abood received his medical degree from Drexel University and completed his residency in pediatrics at Riley Hospital for Children, Indiana University School of Medicine. He then went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Abood is a clinical assistant professor of pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
