Docents will be on hand to answer any questions. The Swiss Community Historical Society is currently constructing a Heritage Center using the Bixel-Basinger Swiss Settlement barn, which will provide a heated and air-conditioned event space, classroom, artifact storage, and public restrooms. This facility will allow for longer visits during tours and events, regardless of weather conditions. The barn, dismantled in 2022 and reassembled between the farmhouse and bank barn, is expected to be completed soon.
