Portage Learning Centers, located at 145 North Chestnut Street in Ravenna, Ohio, is a school that offers the Head Start program for income-eligible children ages three to five years old. With four centers in Kent, Ravenna, Streetsboro, and Atwater, Portage Learning Centers also provides Early Head Start, a no-cost early education program for infants, toddlers, and pregnant women. In the Early Head Start program, 84 children and pregnant women receive comprehensive services to promote their school readiness, including health, nutrition, social services, education, and cognitive development.
