"Short and sweet, I wanted to purchase gold and silver in my IRA. Equity Trust was recommended. I've been with them for two years and had occasion to contact them several times. They are very professional and customer oriented. I'm very comfortable also recommending Equity Trust."

"My experience with Equity Trust was negative. I contacted them long before opening my account to be certain that the investment I wanted to make would be approved to hold in an Equity Trust account. After being looked over by multiple people I received an email from the Account Executive saying "...we should be good to open the account and gather the documentation." So I opened the account and sent them $130,000. After two months of wrangling with multiple people within Equity Trust, they decided they weren't comfortable custodying the investment afterall, and they wouldn't fund the transaction. They left me a voice mail. I called back and the person I needed to speak with was not available, but I was assured they would call me back. Unfortunately, I never heard a peep. SO...I'd say deal with Equity Trust at your own risk. I haven't found them to be reliable. The right hand doesn't seem to know what the left hand is doing, and they don't keep their word and do what they said they would do. Be very cautious."

"Good customer service is critical to any business and highly under rated. Good customer service will have a big positive difference in the bottom line of any business although it is hard to measure so often goes unnoticed. I recently changed phone services due to very bad customer service. Equity Trust has excellent customer service which not only makes dealing with them a pleasure but is also a reflection of the quality of their company. You can have the best product but if it is difficult and/or unpleasant to deal with, your company you will lose clients and referrals."
